Hi-
I have a cool-looking bedroom set that knew was well-made (being Widdicomb) but didn't believe to be worth much. We were going to let our teenage daughter use it, which ENSURES that it will get wrecked, have nail polish and oil paints spilled on it, etc. HOWEVER- we just noticed it's marked "Sundra". An exhaustive Google search turned up NO references to "Widdicomb Sundra" that do NOT credit Nakashima.
It doesn't LOOK like a Nakashima design. But the markings.... it's from 12/59. Laurel and Walnut with brass pulls. Same cloth label the Nakashima stuff has. Clearly, if it's Nakashima (or any design of note) we would not let it get wrecked in the teenager's room. So we're hoping someone can help us identify it!!

Sundra finish
I think the term "Sundra" applies to the finish used by Widdicomb at the time. See the Rago auction link below. I think you can let your daughter use the dresser.
