Hi all,
I just found this little box today, I suspect it's an ashtray?
It's marked on the inside with Valenti & Co - Italy.
On the underside there's a sticker with the logo of the D'Ieteren company, a Brussels importer of cars that started of in 1805 as a cariage builder.
Can somebody shed more light on the Valenti company? I know I've there name and logo before, but can't find much on the net, dating back to the seventies (I assume this is a seventies product).

Valenti is an Italian...
Valenti is an Italian lighting company.
The typography is identical on our lamps and boxes signed Valenti.

I see there's a box like mine in the index too, be it larger.
Would these have been desk items, maybe sold together with lamps they produced?
Seems to fit the style and material of this lamp.

Yes, desk accessories..., looks very similar to Patrick 'Personal Grande' Box, in the link. Perhaps part of the same set?
ps, I love Hebi n 'Pistillino' Lamps...

I believe it was designed as a container for cigarettes. There is a matching palm-held ashtray that is cylindrical with a spherical, weighted end.
