While we're at it, can we come up with a different method of mass transit?
I gotta disagree that a solid seller need not worry -- maybe a contortionist who can bend over backward to appease the most insane buyers. And I think even more buyers will seize this as a blank check for vindictiveness.
It's not a two way street anymore. will be selling much less on Ebay following this news.

That's great...if even a tenth of the people I've heard of saying they'll stop selling on Ebay actually do then I think Ebay will decline steeply. Ebay rely too much on the belief that people need to use them - sheer hubris. A lot of the changes they are making affect occasional to medium volume sellers, especially of secondhand stuff (enforced paypal, fraud protection for high volume powersellers only, feedback changes) - the sort of people who built ebay in the first place before the barrow boys moved in.

The Q + A of that listing....
is even more telling.
Check it out, because this eBay listing is bound to get yanked soon:

It's been up for a while now
I don't think anybody would report it
..and of course, eBay rely on us (the sellers mainly) to report..they don't do any of the work themselves
More and more I get the feeling they have 'dropped the ball'
Someone will report it in the last few hours to save him both the listing fees, and any Final Value Fees on any bids though..sure of that.

Dunno-you will be able to...
Dunno-you will be able to tell by how few new listings pop up today.I am miffed,as I just received a neutral because some jackass complained the item he purchased from me was darker than the posted pictures, which is untrue. With the new system,he can totally trash me,and I have no recourse because some loser has a crappy monitor!

ebay feedback is now officially broken
to all prospective ebay sellers: you are now being asked to queue up to receive your free application of mouth-covering duct tape.
sometimes i just can't believe how stupid ideas become policy. the ebay wigs have effectively broken the backbone of their own system. brilliant.
this is on par with burger king putting the ix-nay on the whopper ... only they were kidding.
