Sorry for your loss T...
But now this raises an an interesting question as to the monetary value of this painting... For the police record of course.
I would put it at right around $325,000.

Police came and took a statement
Lovely PC came and took a statement - I am hoping that CCTV in the city centre will help catch the person! Told them the value of the painting was £199, they are also taking finger prints so heres hoping we get the *****. CSI Newcastle upon Tyne !

I fear that the authorities may draw a blank with this case Tangletree, it appears to have been perpetrated by a professional art thief.
Often the painting is stolen to order and then used within organized crime syndicates, who then use the stolen works as collateral to finance drug deals, arms trafficking or even acts of terrorism.
The thought of Gypsy being drawn into this gruesome underground world with those dark whirlpool eyes bearing witness to all manner of despicable criminal activity is a truly frightening one.
Please keep us posted as to any developments in the case.

quite intrigued to hear of the Great Gypsy Heist. However, I do think the more serious felony here may be how many shades of red Mark is attempting to carry off at one time.
