Is it possible to whiten a lumacryl lampshade that has yellowed from (presumably) sunlight and smoke? I own two identical Lightolier lamps, but one's shade is a tad yellower than the other. What usually causes the yellowing, and can the original white of the lumacryl be restored?
I know olive is going to protest
but most thermoplastics including acrylics will get there initial colour, including white, back agsin after 24 hrs in a 10% solution of bleach in water.
