Another markings...
Another markings investigation for the experts... I have an arm shell with a white/silver metal medallion three points with a Z, the shockmounts have white glue, there is also an ink stamp that I can't read with a circle.
Would this be Zenith Prime / late 50's ?

Any help with these greatly...
Any help with these greatly appreciated. Grey fiberglass side shells with Eiffel bases/white plastic glides?. Underside and backs look painted (including shock mounts). Early upholstered? Looks like maybe they used to have H or X bases based on impressions on shock mounts. Only marking is a Z in center of chair? They have some age? Zenith? Modernica? Worth $125/each?

What's your purpose for them?
The bases alone are worth ~$80 each (significantly more, if original vintage), so yes I would say the price is good.

Not sure what I would do...
Not sure what I would do with them....to be honest. That's why I didn't pull the trigger. More than anything, I'm curious about the unmarked shells. When do the Eiffel bases with the white glides date from?

Hmm
The shells were originally put on H-bases and are probably from the early to mid 50s since they are unmarked and painted (originally upholstered as you noted). From here, the bases look to be original HM to me. From what I gather, the nylon glides were first used in the late 50s but perhaps someone else has more definitive information.
All in all, they are nice chairs and appear to be in very good shape. The painted backs do detract from the value somewhat, but the asking price for the chairs is still below market value (in whole or parts).

Thanks Woody!
Thanks Woody! And, based on the pic, any savvy New Yorker interested in the chairs should be able to find them.

light yellow, fiberglass arm chair
this chair has no visible markings of a stamp, or sticker. it is a dead ringer for an eames, and wondering if that means it could be a zenith.
any help would be appreciated.

Anyone able to help me figure the plastics producer for these shells?
Hey all,
I have 5 total shells (3 yellow, one orange/red, one parchment) that all bear the same embossment. Having unsuccessfully searched in this thread and others, I haven't come across a picture or description of a marking such as these chairs have. I thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide me. I posted them to my tumblr, and you can click the link below to see the embossment.
Yours,
Nick

C
I was told that that mark is Century Plastics.
This is Cincinnati Milacron... Perhaps they are both Cincinnati Milacron? That's what I had originally thought.

Hi,
I´ve got some seafoam green sidechair shells in, They have no HM marks, only a HM sticker and a embossed B and Z (backwards).  Unfortunately I coulnd´t find out something about this combo of sticker and embossed letters. Do someone of you know might be the manufacturer?
I´ve also 20 Elephant Hide Grey sidechair shells, with the same marks, but they have also to embossed HM logo.
I´ve attached some pictures.
Thank you,
Norman
