Since we're having nasty postings I thought I start a silly one. Anyone going to a Hallowe'en costume party? What's your costume going to be? And PLEASE don't say Michael Jackson...I think 1/2 the planet's already picked that.

I'm going as a tacky tourist visiting Santa Fe and trying badly to dress 'Santa Fe style'. Think big sunglasses, bouffant hair-do, humongous silver/turquiose jewelry and cowboy boots with spandex. I found what is arguably the ugliest blouse ever created and a hideous purse covered with fringes and rivets. I should be thoroughly horrifying.

I'm going as Karim Rashid...
White jacket, white pants, white glasses, and pinks that all ALMOST match...but not quite...kinda like I'm trying too hard.

I would totally go as...
...Gianni Sachetta de Frutta, if I was a buff youngish dude. But I'm not.
My best costume ever was a dragon that I made myself. My husband-to-be accompanied me dressed in a fake fur wrap with a hunting horn and a little fake Forest Bird perched on his shoulder. We were Fafner and Seigfried from Wagner's Ring cycle. Good times.

Hilarious! I once went as Brünnhilde!
And since I'm 6ft tall, blonde and of the zaftig persuasion, it worked out rather well. Metal breast-plate, braids, horned helmet...the whole 9 yards!

My favorite costume
Was a gay cowboy (preceding Brokeback by about 3 years) Complete with an LED beltbuckle scrolling "Howdy...y'all comeback now!" The pink plaid cowboy shirt was kind of easy to find. Gold lame' chaps were a little more difficult to secure. Luckily there is a Sacca Di Frutti outlet store near my house (and near Magic Dumpster)
I have some ideas for this year...
