I'm considering buying this vintage tulip table and tulip chair set. I know for sure that it's not Saarinen. I believe it's vintage because the fiberglass chair shells have the slight yellowing patina of age and remakes are often made of plastic. I'm not sure if it is Arkana/Burke. The table has bolt holes that attach the top to the base instead of a single rod like a Saarinen. Arkana chairs usually have a cross base... this chair has the typical tulip style pedestal for a base. I know that the bases have been repainted and the chairs have been reupholstered (the original upholstery is under the new covering). So... what would this table and chair set be worth, even if it is a generic vintage tulip table and chair set?

You seem to have had a good...
You seem to have had a good close up inspection of the set so as long as you are happy with condition and are willing to pay what "they" are asking, valuations are not really needed. Now if it was your set and you where getting a valuation to sell then price would be important.
$875?
I think that's a pretty high price for chairs that have yellowed like that. And be advised that Burke tables tip when you lean on the edge. Saarinen tables don't.
I used to get 48" round Burke tables at auction for $5-$50 but I've never seen that particular shape. Maybe that's part of the reason for the price?
