What's on the end of your Moller chair legs?

I've recently acquired some Moller 75 chairs, which are in great condition except it looks like something is missing from the chair legs (see photo)

Do you know if these chairs originally came with resin or metal glides?

I don't want to risk scratching my wooden floors, nor do I want to go down the rubbish felt pad route. Anyone know where I can get replacements or similar?

Thank you!

I have some pre-1971 and post 1971 Møller chairs and neither seems to have the nail hole indicative of a glide.
The post 1971 ones do have round ~3/8" diameter circular indent on the feet bottoms on the front feet only. (I've never seen a chair glide that would punch a pattern like that).
I would just pick whichever kind of glide I like best.

I have Moller 71s without holes; I'm sure a previous owner had attached some type of glide to yours.
I recently read an article espousing the use of leather pads, affixed to the chair legs using contact cement. Haven't tried it myself, but I might give it a shot.

Hi
My Moller 56 has holes.
Hopefully H. Moon will chime in. He has owned tons of these.

I think small holes are typical
because they are made by the lathe, right? A lathe has pins that go into the piece being...lathed? But lathe holes (?) are smaller than these pictured.
The only Mollers I have in my possession right now have metal glides that were probably added by a past owner.

In denmark
The gliders are nailed into the bottom of the leg.
I am not aware if the hole is there preparred by møller for the glider or is a left over from the lather.
My brother is arrangeing a visit behind the scenes at møller which i plan to tag along on so will ask for a definitve answer.

I have two Model 75's around my breakfast table at the moment. They have holes.
I've noticed the holes before and always assumed they were from the lathe.
It will be interesting to see what Simon comes back with.
Simon could you ask the Mollers when they swapped from metal tags to ink stamps?
It would also be interesting to hear their thoughts on the confusion around who designed the Model 71.

Simon,To pile on here,...
Simon,
To pile on here, there are production differences between early chairs and later chairs, supposedly this coincides with a fire at the factory in 1971-72.
Edit: the story is that this also coincides with the change from metal labels to stamps.
Can you confirm this information at the source?
I outlined this here:

Thanks all
... for your replies!
Simon, if you could find out from the Moller factory what they used on their chairs, that would be amazing.
I'll have a look for glides and will update here if I find anything. I seem to recall seeing resin-like buttons on the feet of a Hans Wegner coffee table, which seems to me more scratch-resistant than metal glides and a nicer alternative, but hey, beggers can't be choosers.
Thanks again.
Tom
