I've been doing some lounge chair hunting, and I've come across a number of people discussing Foundary as a good source for deals. But I'm confused about what it is that they're selling. I was hoping neutral parties could explain it.
Today, for instance, there's a "retro mod furniture" sale. What they're offering is mostly reproductions, but they don't appear to say who the maker is, and there's often not a lot of information about the material of the furniture itself. To give one example, there's a "Leather Zita Eaze Lounge Set" in which there's no indication even of what kind of leather it is. Doing a ten second Google search, I found another set by the exact same name sold by another reproduction company that's half the price of Foundary's listed retail price, and a couple of hundred cheaper than Foundary's sale price. How are we to know this isn't the same cheap knockoff?

The Foundary?
If you are referring to the flash sale site, then yes I have found many/most/all of the vendors to be selling knock-offs of modern furniture. I joined the site and then quit after a short time.

Yes, that's the one.
Is there any reason to believe the knock-offs they're selling are of superior quality?
I just don't understand how they get away with charging more while providing less information than companies that are up front about selling knock-offs.
Are we supposed to trust that their buyers have fully vetted the quality for us?
