I've been doing some lounge chair hunting, and I've come across a number of people discussing Foundary as a good source for deals. But I'm confused about what it is that they're selling. I was hoping neutral parties could explain it.
Today, for instance, there's a "retro mod furniture" sale. What they're offering is mostly reproductions, but they don't appear to say who the maker is, and there's often not a lot of information about the material of the furniture itself. To give one example, there's a "Leather Zita Eaze Lounge Set" in which there's no indication even of what kind of leather it is. Doing a ten second Google search, I found another set by the exact same name sold by another reproduction company that's half the price of Foundary's listed retail price, and a couple of hundred cheaper than Foundary's sale price. How are we to know this isn't the same cheap knockoff?

Is there any reason to believe the knock-offs they're selling are of superior quality?
I just don't understand how they get away with charging more while providing less information than companies that are up front about selling knock-offs.
Are we supposed to trust that their buyers have fully vetted the quality for us?
