Hmmm, didn't he make like 12? I'm pretty sure it's not a one-off.

toss-up between two
I would like either eight rosewood NO Møller dining chairs to go with my rosewood table and buffet, OR an Eames lounge chair & ottoman.
I have nice rosewood chairs but they are not as well-designed as the Møller ones and tend to get wobbly. As for the lounge chair, I am now about to reupholster my second Selig/Plycraft knockoff and would just like the real thing someday.
ps- don't give up hope, I've gotten a bunch of Kay Bojesen monkeys, elephants and soldiers at auction for just a few bucks each! They're out there...

anytime, anywhere: Ruspa table lamp
a white Gae Aulenti Ruspa table lamp would be my sin ... but the price is just ludicrous: over 3 000 euros.

Different .
There is a difference between what you want and what you already have that you find the most useful, or can't live without for some reason.

yep
Yep, i agree wholeheartedly. I do not think anybody will argue your point. However, somehow I do like the combination of both threads. They are, in my mind, a bit like opposing poles of a same dimension: What would you most like to add ? versus What would you least like to detract ?
More specifically, I like the contrast these threads have to offer. For me, it is humbling that I lust after a lamp that I can not afford, but actually when asked, parting with my lamps was not the first thing that came to mind. I like that the one thread is really a What would you buy when you would win the Lottery sort of collection, while the other focuses on domestic bliss (well, ok, it is too early to tell yet, but I think/ sort of hope it will) sort of thread. Which clearly heads towards the very practical/ pragmatic oriented, whereas the other thread is not (rather totally impractical dreamworld). So I like this thread, AND I like the other thread. Bringing the older thread back up, is by no means meant as a comment on the new thread: I just like them together, that is all.

It changes ........
A year ago it would probably have been a Finn Juhl Chieftans chair, but now I would probably prefer a cheaper, more utilitarian Ernest Race antelope chair.
But then again, I'm about to move from a fairly grand space to a more
industrial austere space.
I guess what I'm saying is, it depends on my surroundings and mood..
It is in flux.

Doesn't anyone prefer classic design?
I've been close in the past to laying down the cheese for a Philip Johnson/Richard Kelley floorlamp for Edison Price. I wish I had, because they have now reached a price point beyond reason for me.

George Nelson bench!
It's the last item on my want list. I'd prefer new, but vintage would work.

ah, gerrit, the suffering of disease...
heightens our senses and subsequently appreciation of our health, thereby bringing us closer to the bodhi tree. Alas, I may have puked on the roots a time or two. 🙂
Has anyone designed a wastebasket especially for calling the whales? 🙂
