"We buy from children of dead people."
I love it.
And I'd pay an additional 10% just for that.
Thanks, Josh!

Tangletree,
I like "Does Macy's tell Gimbel's".
I will also be using "we buy from children of dead people", that is a classic and so true.

I just say...
"Anywhere and everywhere" Or if its from a really high end estate I tell them. If you ask me, if its good stuff it doesn't really matter where it came from.

An
Annoying movie IMO. Perpetuates dealer stereotypes and does not balance with the huge amount of time (equals $), and all the other expenses of this business. A cheap shot basically. If some dealers are so guilty about what you do that they feel the need to tell stories, perhaps some other occupation would better suit. Or this; The answer is in realizing that this is a misunderstood occupation that requires education as part of the job. When asked that question, explain that it came from camping for hours at estate sales with no guarantee of getting anything or having things even be at a buyable price or any of the other on and off buying scenarios. Perhaps we could change the perception of a dealer that way.
