Why is there a $550 upcharge...
Why is there a $550 upcharge for the Santos Palisander veneer on the LCW chair? I love it but I think it's ridiculous. I've looked at veneer shops and SP is not priced anywhere near a point to justify more than a $50 upcharge. Is it their goal to sell limited quantities of it?

The price isn't "justified" in terms of material cost. I think the idea is to the create the perception of something more special and thus more valuable.
Why is the Series 7 chair in "high gloss" finish priced at twice that of the regular finish?
