After seeing Riki`s Bertrand in all his magnificent glory in a previous thread it got me thinking of how many of us have an object in our house which we absolutely despise, but we are unable to part with for moral reasons or a sence of guilt should we ever throw it away.
For example, whilst helping my Grandmother sort out decades of random accumilted junk in her attic my wife expressed an interest in a small Geisha girl doll which had been lost to the world for the last forty years. My Grandmother insisted she keep it.
This lurid piece of nastiness is now the centre piece to my wifes bed side table, with gross disregard for the France & Son table it sits on. Not only that, it is one of the first things I see when I wake up in the morning, it is utterly, utterly terrible.
Yet we can not bring ourselves to throw it away,I fear we are bound to this spectacular piece of tat.
I wonder how many others have a similar items in their house that are very, very wrong.
