Tacky? -Maria
Tacky? They look like dining chairs from the 1980's or thereabouts.

P.S. - I flipped through the other photos on the flickr stream of yours. The only thing that I think qualifies as "modern mid century" (which is what this forum specializes in) is that night stand. Its from broyhill one of more modern looking lines they did in the 60's.
The pictures I have where...
The pictures I have where you looked are just random pictures. My bedroom furniture is Broyhill Sculptra. I just thought these chairs may have been mid century because of the casters. I'm sorry if you think they are tacky. I love them. But thanks for helping me.
RE: mcallahan
Sorry, I just commented on the photo stream because I thought maybe these were photos from estate sales, or something of the sort, and you were taking photos to research pieces you had seen and/or were considering buying.
I only mentioned the mid century "modern" stuff because that's pretty much the area of expertise here -- I'm not sure how much help people can be outside of that scope when it comes to furniture. (Though I'm sure there are people here with expertise outside of modern design).
The chairs you posted are very 80's in look, to my eye, and as the other poster said have that oriental flair that was popular. As for my tacky comment, I'll say I think changing the upholstery would greatly help matters.

Acallahan, who cares what we think?
Your chairs look to be well made and the casters do, indeed, appear to be of a mid-century style. If you like them, that's all that really matters, no?
FWIW, I have in my living room a set of ersatz Danish-inspired Gunlocke walnut and leather lounge chairs with swooping arms that I kinda love. They're solid as a rock, in great shape for their age, and probably worth at least triple the $20 apiece I paid for them. Are they valuable or great art? Certainly not, but don't tell my teenagers or guests that, please.
