My favorite store is Mod 50 s in Tulsa Oklahoma owned by Maurice Powell who is one of the most honest and fair minded people in the business, I have bought umpteen dollars of cool stuff from his store at great Prices,
The other store is in Dallas in Deep Ellum i don't know the name but i have gotten some great stuff, Several venders put there merchandise in the store, it is Next to Orange the Hair salon, and when I was in Dallas last weekend I saw some wonderful things,
In our city we have only one cool store and a hugh city like Dallas from what i understand only about 2 stores, are there any cool stores and what is the name in your home town, Sad if we have to buy our cool stuff from those high binders on 1st dibs. I feel like I would need to wear a suit to go in their shops.

Reside Inc
Love Whitespike's posting. The guy who runs ModernLove is so nice and helpful.
Here in Boston I'd say the best vintage modern store is ResideInc, tucked away in a little part of Cambridge. The staff are super helpful, the inventory is diverse and ever changing, the prices are mostly reasonable. The best thing of all is that below the beautifully curated selling floor there is a wonderfully jam packed basement. You walk down a little rickety staircase and you're in an old dusty world of ant chairs, purple LaFondas, vintage faux Tulip tables...its great for those that like to 'discover' things rather than just buy them.

Daniel Donnelly
I just had the pleasure of meeting the guy. Very cool, down to earth guy, zero attitude.

My main beef with Machine Age
Machine age used to have an awesome shop in East Boston, but now its moved way out on the waterfront. They had some great inventory, but they always treated me like crap when I went in there. I know I'm not the biggest collector in the world, but its really disheartening to be completely ignored (even after asking direct questions), or worse - to be given snippy condescending answers simply because I don't fit their profile of what a 'collector' looks like.
Every single time I've set foot into Reside I've been smiled at, greeted, and treated with a lot of respect - even when I say "I'm just looking". Customer service goes a long way in building my loyalty.
