Hi,

Any ideas on what "type" (species) of teak wood was most predominate in he construction of Danish Modern furniture: Philippine? Brazilian? Asian? Plantation?

The reason I ask is I am restoring a credenza. It has that classic warm, rich, reddish toned teak veneer seen on most DM furniture.

Thanks Bunches....

The Dane usually used Teak,...
The Dane usually used Teak, Tectona grandis. It is also known as Burmese Teak.
They also used Afrormosia more frequently than is often realized.
Bu your sideboard is teak.
