Hello,

Does anyone on the board have some information to share about Wendell Lovett's "Bikini Chair". I have tried to find some info, but it seems this designer was more well known for his house designs than furniture...

I know...
I know you can purchase the chair through www.zmodern.com and that the edition is limited to 200. I think it is currently in the high 20's at the moment. Mr. Lovett was an architect who practiced in the north west. He designed the Bikini chair for a home which later burned as did the seating. They were never produced for mass market and have only recently been made available to the public. Lovett produces each of these chairs by hand and also signs them. He was dean of architecture in either seattle or portland and now resides in Seattle (retired). He also was either the professor or student of Ralph Rapson.

I...
thanks for the info!
I have seen it for sale in two places online. It is great I think. I just wish I could try it out and see if it's comfortable as well... It is rather pricey for a spontanious online purchase...
So, it's never actually been produced until now then?
