They're not exactly pristine. Some hack "re-upholstered" them 40 or 50 years ago, and some of the chrome needs to be cleaned up. But I think they're Gilbert Rohdes early designs for Troy Sunshade Co. from the 30's.

Should I have saved my money? I paid $225.00 for all.

I love 'em
30's-40's chrome furniture was quite popular in the 1970's and there was quite a lot of Troy, Howell and Lloyd pieces around.
Then, overnight, "Deco" was replaced by "High-Tech" and then "Mid-Century" and chrome collecting seemed to disappear.
Enjoy this cool set of furniture.....

We used to call this style
chunky chrome furniture.
Once upon a time, I had a Z chair, probably made by Howell, and I had it recovered nicely in a tan leather-like vinyl and it was swell. It got sold years ago and surprisingly, i've never seen another one.

I think they are pretty...
I think they are pretty swell! Chrome furniture is so often related with the "retro" feel it oftentimes is disregarded as kitch. I think, so long as your design doesn't focus strictly on that 50s kitch, it really brings great eye appeal to a room.
And for $225, gimme a break, you can't beat that!

Thanks for the comments Folks!
I'm going to look into having them re-upholstered. They were a good deal, and I'm willing to invest some money for an upgrade.
