Looking at sites such as Lauritz I have seen Wegner items marked as well as unmarked:

1. burn marked (but burn marks can look a bit different)
2. metal plate
3. silver colored tag/sticker
4. no mark at all

My questions are:
A) Am correct in assuming that authentic Wegner pieces are always marked and marked as stated in 1 and 2 above? This of course does not mean that all pieces thus marked have to be authentic.

B) Do the burnmarks differ depending on time period? I ask because I have seen different types of burn marks, even for the same producer.

So no one knows whether...
So no one knows whether authentic Wegner furniture tends to be marked regardless of production era...? Or I could re-phrase the question: so no one knows whether authentic Wegner furniture pieces from the 50s were often not marked at all?

I have seen authentic Wegner...
I have seen authentic Wegner pieces from the 1950s that are not marked, but the great majority are marked.

When Carl Hansen
started using the rectangular adhesive foil labels instead of branding. The labels often fall off.
