For those of you who do not know, Wayne Coyne is the frontman for the lovely psychedelic pop band, The Flaming Lips. Coyne comes from very modest beginnings and has made a name for himself without compromising his fantastic, whimsical vision.

He comes from a very rough neighborhood, but has never left. I recently found an article on PitchFork about his lovely architect rennovated home in Oklahoma. One would never guess this futuristic place exists within the confines of an old brick house down the street from grafitti, dilapidated buildings and the like. Please take a moment to read this and take the tour on the architects' site.

I highly recommend The Fearless Freaks, a Flaming Lips/Coyne documenatry film released a couple years ago, 2005 or 6. It was on Sundance for awhile, I think. A remarkable piece.

Hilarious...
Mr. Coyne prefers his interiors be as polished as his tunes. Maybe more so.
