Hi ,I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me whether they've seen any Warren Platner Easy Chairs for sale at a fair price ?? I don't mind shipping them to Australia, but so far I've only seen them on ebay, and they've gone for over $3500 each,is this an average price for them ??? Or have I just missed the boat ??
Thanks, Ali

I've seen one of these for sale at a reasonable price. I saw one at a shop in Palm Springs priced at $1600.

Auction sites
Keep watching auction sites, I purchased mine on eBay four years ago for $2300 (for the pair in bronze). Knoll reissued the Platner Easy chair this summer, in the US prices start at $11,300 for the lowest fabric grade and go up to over $12,500... each!

I have a pair of low-back Platner's that I removed from my father's office upon retirement.
And Mr. Chopper just loves them. I do too!
All the best,

Thankyou I will keep watching ebay but it was ebay that one went fior $3500 and live auctioneer that another went for the same money !! It's .so disheartening !!!! Any other US auction sites you might be able to recommend ?? You lucky lucky thing having a pair in bronze !!! Wow that really is my dream , but in the nickel and ottoman , I hope one day !, just tricky as I think they're all in the US and I'm on the other side of the world , but I won't give up !!!!!!! Thanks again

Wright20
Another auction site is Wright20, they have had a few Platner easy chairs listed in past auctions with matching ottomans, but still in the $3500-$4500 range. These chairs have become quite sought after in the past few years, so it will be quite difficult to find any at a deep bargain. psmodernway in Palm Springs, CA usually has a number of Platner pieces on hand.

I'm just wondering if anyone...
I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me - I've seen an easy chair for sale but it has been stripped ,so would need to be refinished ,would this detract from the value ?? my other concern is that it would look brand new,but can't seem to find any others at a reasonable price !! Unfortunately the last one I saw was through Wrights Auctions but on live auctioneers ,and went for over $4000 with the 20% buyers premium, unfortunately out of my price range - boo hoo !!!!
