Lucky Cat pinball machine
danielmpoole,
My answer would be that the Lucky Cat pinball machine is not inexpensive at just under $10,000.00 US dollars.
I missed one from a dealer in Canada that had a display piece and was looking to "get out from under" at $4,000.00. This is more in line with my thinking. I am in no rush to acquire this unit and I am positive that during this "difficult economic sitiuation" I will find another at this price or less.
vote of confidence
danielmpoole,
Thank you for your vote of confidence. Given the choice of a way to think, I would always choose to think it will turn our good.
Many years ago when I was bemoaning missing an item of interest, a dealer who has gone on to help me build and sell many collections said, do not worry they barley made one of anything and you will probably get the next one for the same price or less. This has turned out to be true.
Thank you again for your positive affirmation.
I'm a firm believer that if you really want something, you'll get it.
You may have to work your backside off, but you'll get it. And anyway, it's always nicer to finally get something when you've actually worked hard to get it. Makes it all the more worthwhile.
I'm still looking for a Papa Bear Chair at a reasonable price....one day.
Papa Bear chair
danielmpoole,
My mother had one of those "mom books", that they all seem to have, and a few of the often repeated phrases (my sister and I needed to hear them more than once) were: "good things come to those that wait" and "patience is a virtue". Where did she get that book?
Just as you have confidence in me, I too am positive that eventually you will find a Papa Bear chair at a price you deem acceptable.
As if the Droog Lucky Cat pinball machine is not enough, I also want the Philippe Starck WW (Wim Wenders) stool for Vitra to use with that piece.
I am looking at these as more of an art installation, as opposed to something that will be in constant use.
Once again, good hunting and good luck to you.
It's quite an amazing piece.
There's a Vitra minature of it too.
It's the barb that does it for me
