I looked at Mccobb and Gibbings from the start. It is quite close to some Mccobb designs, but not exactly. I have since looked at Drexel and Lane sofas but there is not many images out there. Any other folks recognize this one?

Robsjohn Gibbings
was a designer for Widdicomb. It could be Widdicomb without Robsjohn Gibbings. Also, check out Tomlinson Furniture.

you need better pictures.....
Very hard to tell with this unrevealing angle.
Try an angled front and back shot, maybe even
"flip it for real" for an under shot.
Metropolitan?
