My parents bought
me a sad knock-off of the side shell, when I was in high school. Gray fiberglass, simple canted tubular legs. I was devastated that it wasn't the real thing -- I suppose it showed. I considered adding casters, but at the time was stumped by the angle of the legs. I see that bending them works, but not aesthetically . . .

Pegboard – It is fortuitous that you brought this thread to the top of DA yesterday.
We sent a tired black 50s Saarinen Grasshopper and a hair-on cowhide to Hume a few weeks ago. We just received pictures of the result. I am admittedly ecstatic about it, though I have a feeling it will leave a few DA'ers thinking WTF.
So it seemed the perfect thing to post here.
