Hi everyone,
I have a VK100 recliner with the retractable footrest. I had the chair reupholstered and now I can remove the footrest completely. It used to stop at a certain point. I think the upholsterer forgot to put whatever stops are used back in when they finished. Unfortunately they are gone and I have no idea what they used. Could somebody please help me figure out what it might be? Inside the chair on the edges closest to the opening are brass looking plates that seem to serve as the guide for the foot rest. The foot rest itself is a bunch of metal links connected to each other with plastic arched slats. At the end of the foot rest, deepest part into the chair, there is a hole on both sides where it looks like a screw of some sort was which I imagine is what kept the footrest in place. If pictures are needed I will try to upload a few later. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you very much!
Yeah I love the chair. I...
Yeah I love the chair. I like all of his sculpted looking chairs like that. These pictures aren't the best but you get the idea I think. The top hole on the last metal link I don't think had anything to do with the stop mechanism, i just think it's there to connect to other links. I emailed the Vladimir Kagan site and they asked for pictures, when I replied, my email got bounced back as if the site had shut down so I don't know what that's all about. Anyway, if anybody has any idea what's supposed to be there, I would really appreciate the help! Thank you!
For some reason I can't post pictures like normal so here are links to photobucket:
