Vintage or new repro's Herman Miller Eames Bases

Hey, I was hoping the experts here could help me figure out whether these Herman Miller Eiffel and La Fonda bases are vintage or new reproductions. I believe they are chrome. I spoke to someone with far more knowledge of real vintage pieces and they had never encountered a chrome base before which is what got me worried. They were sold to me as authentic vintage pieces so I hope I wasn't lied to!
Any help would be appreciated!

I have no knowledge of the existance of reproduction La Fonda bases. I do have a set of four vintage fiberglass Vitra La Fondas with there original chromeplated aluminum base. There are also polished versions out there.

I too am not aware of reproduction La Fonda bases. Chrome was the typical finish of the later generation, and they usually flaked off something terrible. Looks like yours is in good shape.
Re: Eiffel, hard to tell but the angle of the legs looks strange to me.

woodywood, I think I remember you helping me identify my arm chair being authentic. From your experience, have you seen vintage chrome eiffel bases?
