I have some Danish Nils Moller (JL Moller) Rosewood chairs x 6 which I have managed to research online and find out a lot about. They are in very good condition. Are these model 78? I have seen these in teak online and they are referred to as model 78 - but these are in Rosewood.
They go with a Troeds Bjarnum Rosewood Swedish oval extending dining table. I am not sure about the designer though - I understand that Bjarnum is the producer? Is there a catalogue I can reference to find out? Does anyone know just by looking at the photos? Or dates?
The other two items are a set of two huge Rosewood side boards. Drawing a bit of a blank on these as they are unmarked in terms of maker/ designer. I did find some ever so similar as a guideline but they had been sold, so there was no indication of price.
There is light scratching that happened only recently when a builder came to decorate and moved the sideboards and put the chairs on the top of the table. So the table top has only a few very light scratches (plus unfortunately about 3 small biro markings:( On of the side boards has more light but quite visible scratchings across the top.
I am guessing the sideboards and the table might suit a dealer and expert as they may be able to re-varnish?
The chairs I would like to sell directly, as they are of higher value I believe and better condition and lighter weight.
Can anyone advise on what I should expect from the sideboards/ table from a dealer?
Can anyone also advise on how I should safely ship the chairs without damaging them if I find a buyer (and if possible what price I should be asking for - although I already have a rough idea of this and will try to offer a bargain for a quick sale). Also which would be a good site to advertise for a quick sale?
Sorry I know I am asking a lot... Many thanks if you are able to advise in any way on these topics.... I may even keep the chairs. I am becoming more attached to them the more I have to do with them!
Any information you have, as you can see, would be much appreciated, I am pretty new to this and have inherited some items:)
Best Regards,

It is Niels Otto Moller. Or N.O. Møller.
And Bjarnum is not the maker of the table. Troeds is the name of the maker. Bjarnum is the location where Troeds was. I have seen plenty of Troeds marks that have a model name and a designer (frequently Nils Jonsson), so if your table does not mention that, it might mean that it is an in-house design.
The sideboards look pretty generic.
I found mention of the teak 78 chairs on this site under the following link:

The 78 chair was created in 1962.

It is a beautiful (and valuable) set you have. Lucky you!
Thanks, yes I think they are really beautiful. I had no idea about their value until I just started researching. Now I understand why my Grandpa used to lovingly polish the table and chairs after every meal! I think I am lucky that it is the table and units (not of the same calibre) that are slightly damaged. I can't believe we were even using these valuable pieces to have our Sunday dinners from! But they were built as functional items after all, not design pieces and there are many fond memories.....
You should be aware that if you decide to sell them directly, you would do well getting 50% of the price you see them listed for. Because it's most likely that it's a dealer that will buy them.
If you like them and giving the family history behind them, you should strongly consider keeping them.
