I've been told that what makes these vintage sconces valuable is the mount and its "workings", but we have three of these and all their shades are GASHED. Does anyone have any recommendations for new or Vintage replacements?
Thanks in advance.

Herman Miller or Modernica
For a new replacement shade. Modernica is being sued but still has them available. Modernica is saying Herman Miller is the one suing them; the plaintiff is the George Nelson Foundation.
(If you're in North America.)

I like them the way that they are.
Perhaps you could consult with an art restoration professional, and inquire about repairing the current gash. Or maybe not.
Best,

I was able to do some...
I was able to do some makeshift repairs to one I had years ago with some tissue paper and mild glue. I turned that side towards the wall and called it good.

I actually tried to "repair"...
I actually tried to "repair" one of the shades with fiberglass resin and mat on the inside of the shade but it turned out...repaired looking. Might still be better than a glistening white new one though...
Thanks for the input folks.

A replacement shade from Mode...
A replacement shade from Modernica would be the practical solution but with a brand name clash... The shade will be labeled MODERNICA, which is irritating, as it unfortunately makes the necessary and innocent update into a bit of a crass marriage of abomination. If your shades are destroyed, though, that's your best option beyond just buying "new" vintage lamps. If they still have a good side then just make do, that's what I do, and what I think everyone else does too... I think pretty much all vintage examples of these things are damaged to some extent, they're pretty fragile and over the course of fifty years or whatever things happen; that's the way the cookie crumbles...
I'd like there to be a toolbar so I can italicize and use colors and stuff on this thing, there's a thread about that in here somewhere, isn't there?

Nothing like a decision that ...
Nothing like a decision that is made FOR YOU. Modernica said they don't sell replacement shades. S'ok though, I'll live with the gashes or just get the resin back out.
Thanks folks!

Or.........
You could pass one on to someone who has the shade and needs a wall fixture. And yes, I mean me. You have three, yes? I say reduce aggravation and diversify your lighting profile while you are at it! I would love one. No, really. Did I mention I would like one? For myself? Alrighty then.
