And I wish I were less of a bitch, and thinner. Waistline is much easier to change than temperament, I'm afraid.

Double post. Although I will take this editing opportunity to say that since I quit the smoke, bitchiness has surely increased.

I like it Mark
regardless of your sexual preference. I'm not gay, and I wear some crazy outfits. I have over 100 vintage 70's button up short/ long sleeve shirts, and dozens of vintage 50/50 tees. Love the old bold suits. I have at least 30 pair of shoes. 20-30 led watches. Wicked track jackets. Pit jackets. A dozen vintage button up leather jackets. Yeah. I might be able to hang with ya. ..;)

Being in the watch business, as well as a hobbyist, I envy your collection. My favorite was an old Hewlett Packard calculator watch I picked up for a song at a fleamarket and sold for a handsome profit.

"I could post numerous examples of eBay listings that sold well above or below the going market price."
Due to the number of bidders, Ebay IS the going market price. Local sales are the exception, not the rule.

Thinking in a vacuum, kebore...
So if the same design which sold for $2000 a few days ago sells for $3000 today what would your plan be then?
Buy only on Tuesdays?
Buy on the 12th of each month?
Don't buy on the 15th?
Good luck.

That's sleek
Eric. That's the one kind I don't have is a calculator watch. I'm sure you turned a mint on it, if it looked like that. They're down a little bit now, but a little while back they were bringing well into $1,500. Hp is always hot regardless, and an exception to the rule generally. Anytime I'm at the flea market I try to look for old hp calculators. Some of them can bring you a nice little chunk too.

I remember I paid $5 for it. Don't remember exactly what it sold for, but if I could do it everyday I'd have enough to move to Palm Beach and live next door to Auntie.

Also had (and sold) and original Pulsar. Paid substantially more than $5 for it though. I love that GP of yours.

That
aint no joke dude. $20 in to $6,000 in no time flat. Especially all calculator. You can't go wrong there. The biggest problem I've found with the old led watches is people leave the batteries in from 1970, and when you open them up, they corroded into the mother boards, and ruin the module.
eBay would be a great place for you to look at old led watches Mark. Just make sure you look for ones already running, with no movement issues, and a nice case to match. Non-running examples are too much of a gamble. They made them in different sizes too. I prefer the larger tank style watches. Like all the ones I showed you. But I do have some elegant dress models with built in mesh bands, great for nice dinners out.
Here's a nice Zenith Futur. Analog, and digital:

The
time is analog, and the date and seconds are digital.. I love the cross hairs. The fact that it's made by Zenith, makes it that much cooler.
