I have a vintage aluminum lounge chair with the flat topped, four-star base. It's bright yellow with black arms, and it tilts but does not swivel. I saw one exactly like it, but in orange, that swiveled. Does anyone know if it's supposed to swivel, but froze? If so, what's needed to change it? Were some of them made that did not swivel? Any feedback helps. Thank you!!

Seems odd
Seems odd that they would put the tilt on and not the swivel. I've certainly seen early examples (especially in photos of Charles & Ray working on the designs) of the lounge not tilting. I would guess the swivel is frozen. I've heard of the aluminum parts giving way here and there...try spritzing a wee bit of silicon into the swivel. Does it move even a little bit?
