Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me this is a original or a copy?

I know the original was produced in the early 60's
by "Plus Ligne"

I also know Habitat made some copies in the UK in the 80's.

Now judging from the cushions and the slightly oxidated frame, my guesses are 60's.. but im not an expert..

pls let me know what you think..

thx,

yves

There's hardly anywhere that produces repro's of this chair - like you, I think it's either original Panton or Habitat. Judging by the fabric I'd say it was Habitat - I own a few upholstered pieces from there myself and the fabric is almost identical.
Could be wrong of course, perhaps someone knows otherwise...

Just to add, if it is a copy, it's an extremely well made example.
I'd be damm proud to have that nestled in my conservatory

Looks
like the habitat re-issue to me
Based on the fabric, colour and make of the cushions

Habitat
Hi,
It is the Habitat Reissue. I think it was 1999. It looks like it is missing the black rubber floor protectors..
Habitat released them in Blue, Red and Grey....
It is a great chair!

thx
for the replies..
I was affraid it might be a Habitat replica, even dough the cushions smell like my grandma..
so you think from '99?
the base is pretty oxidated to be only 10 years old.
so your pretty sure it not a plus ligne, caus i can send more detailed pics if yer not a 100% sure..
I hoped they would only make replica's in nice flashy colors and not in this old grey upholstery.
thx,
Yves (Belgium)

I might be wrong, put up a picture of the material and a close up of the zip on the back.
You can pick these up in the UK for about £300 retail, I think they were originally sold at around £100...
