Has anyone ever seen one in a suede finish? I've spotted a pair but have only seen the leather ones, so i'm trying to work out if it has been re-upholstered, or original.
Thanks everyone

Modus . . .
Here's one I recently sold. Not suede but a kind of velour?

I saw that during my searches.
Nice.
This is definitely suede though:
Just looking at it again now, it doesn't seem to have the button in the centre of the seat. Maybe it has been re-covered?

If . . .
If I remember correctly I think the main seat pad & stool did have a floral material under the velour cover. The arm rests & back rest of the chair was just stuffing inside.
Perhaps mine had been recovered in the 70s / 80s ?

Yours have all been
Re-upholstered as the original cushions and backs were in leather and mostly black. Some oak versions had tan leather.
The give away is the seat cushion.
The original had the leather sewn so it overlapped at the sides meeting in the middle with the large button holding it all down.
The idea behind this was give it the appearance of 4 pices but mainly so the leather had movement in it to allow it to take the shape of the back side sat on it.
