Hi! I'm really excited about this really cool chair I just bought on Craigslist that the seller had posted as a "Scarface chair" - great description!
It's signed underneath "Van Horn Plastics, Des Moines, Iowa." I've been trying to find out more about that company, but haven't turned up much information by Googling. I'd just really love to learn more about this chair/the company!
I'm sure the cushion was a later addition.
Thanks for any insight you can offer!

According to this site it's a Robert Van Horn lucite lounge chair. A very cool chair. I also think the cushion works, as it adds a little solidity and playfulness to the chair.

I really love the playfulness of the cushion too! Thanks for that link.
I've discovered Robert Van Horn started his company in 1948 - I wonder when he made this particular design?

Hi,
I've been looking for one of these Van Horn chairs and just saw yours. Let me know if you ever want to sell and ship a big box to Illinois!
