I was at my sisters house over the weekend and she showed me her yardsale find of two thonet barstools. She didnt know what they were worth - I told her I would check into it.

They are bar height, with a plywood seat, spine, and backrest ala Eames. Four individual bent plywood legs and a footrest that was either wood or chrome. My camera was dead so I couldnt take photos.

One had a label "Thonet. 1 Park Avenue"

Anyone have any ideas about value or appraisals? She picked them up for $5 each so its not a big deal if they're worth only that. Thanks in advance!

Thonet does not mean vintage.
These may be quite new as they are in current production. See the link below.

These are definitely vintage
I'm pretty sure these are at least 20 years old. I can just tell by the way the wood is worn, and the finish used. I've searched Thonet's website and havent found any images of them. I've also done a few google searches to no avail. Its more of a curiousity thing than a resale thing.

shameless bump
Anyone? I'm still stuck on these guys. All the Thonet stuff I find is the earlier bent curlicue wood, these are pretty straightforward plywood.
