Hi,
we´ve got these beautiful chairs from Vad. However, we´re in doubt about what kind of wood is used for production. A lot of sellers on 1stdibs state that this is rosewood, but we´re not quite sure. Anyone that knows this for certaion - or can tell by simply looking at these pictures? If You see a clear identification marker in the wood, please tell what we should be looking for!
Best regards

It is not rosewood. That much is certain. It is stained to be the color of rosewood. It might be stained beech.
I bit sharper close up, like photo #4, of the rear top would help.

Agree w Leif. Last photo is not rosewood. Appears as perhaps a bent-lamination of another hardwood with a toned finish. Birch or beech, maybe.
Cool chair, though. Looks to be in great condition and super-comfy. Needs an otto to go with?
