"We've just picked up some gorgeous teak furniture for a song from a lady who was selling off her parents estate. Evidently, her dad was a pilot, and he and some pilot buddies took a cargo plane to Denmark years ago and bought tons of it.
"There is a stamp on the back that says "Denmark", another that says "Danish furnituremakers control", and another with a circle, inside which is a capital "V" and a capital "M" superimposed on each other. (It looks a little like the Volkswagen logo, but with an M.) Does anyone know what this is? I'm just curious, and wondering if it's the manufacturer. The stuff is beautifully joined rubbed teak - the sideboard/credenza is 8 feet long, and is quite unique-looking. We're in the midst of moving house, so my camera is packed up in a box somewhere, but I'll post some pics at some point.
"I found nothing on google searches, and was just wondering if any of you retro-savvy folks had any ideas."
