Vanity Fair has a story about it. For the first time I'm disappointed with a Gehry building. I know the pictures give limited views, etc., etc., but this just doesn't cut it even in partial view. Oh, well, he couldn't keep hitting home runs forever. Yes, yes, there are good parts inside and out, but its something I never thought I would say about a Gehry building--it just kind of sits there being heavy.

I don't
know the building -- but isn't it about time Gehry just "sat there" for a while . . .? 🙄

Aww. . .it's not so bad, is it ? You've been there I take it ? What does it feel like ?
So, who's designing Diane Von Furstenburg's building ?

No, no, I haven't been in it....
In fact I just saw the pics in VF and a few on the net somewhere. Maybe I was having a bad day when I saw the pics. I'll look again.

Ah, its in Chelsea...
A long, long time ago I spent a visited a friend who was living in studio on a light well in that neighborhood. The unit was fantastically depressing and the person's be was surrounded by a rectangle of boric acide to prevent the cockroaches from getting on the bed. Woody Allen leaves this part of New York out of his movies.
Even if Gehry had build a cememt box with a racing stripe that would have been better than my friend's old apartment building. Although I've heard Chelsea's long since made a major come back.
