Any ideas at about how (or indeed if) to use beautiful gilded French provincial furniture, mirrors etc within a 20th century modernist abode?
has anybody seen this look actually work?

Stephen, the LA designer Kelly Wearstler mixes those two periods with great results. Her website is kwid.com. She loves taking French bergeres and upholstering them in white and painting them white to give them a mod look. Good luck!
