-Lautners chemosphere off sunset
- Flw Ennis brown house in los feliz
- Eichler tract in thousand oaks ca (off lynn road and calle manzanitias) most of them have been restored beautifully

Las Vegas?
I was just thinking, that if you claim a truly american invention, more to somebody involved in properties, wouldn?t be interesting Las Vegas.
The study of intellectual concepts and economy-business application with the verification on site with the colorful and funny situations...Could be an interesting combination.
pd: I love popular things, if you want juxtaposed with the pseudo intellectual. Where is DcWilson?, I can hear him talking about design and architecture, how well works Las Vegas business model (now re-done in Dubai et al) . ?Complex and contradiction? so DcWilsoniano as Venturi is.

Julia Morgan
When in Berkeley you can head to the hills and see several examples of Julia Morgan houses or come into the 21st century (also in the Berkeley/Oakland hills) and see some uber modern homes done after the big fire of 91'. My fave Julia Morgan is directly across the street from 'the People's Park , a small but wonderful building for the church of Christian Science.... on Bowditch st.

Ah, but
that's not Julia Morgan, it's her mentor Bernard Maybeck -- perhaps the most original of all the Bay Area's early progressive architects.
Morgan's Berkeley church is the St. John's Presbyterian, on College Avenue. A more modest, all-wood structure, made on a limited budget and still beloved of its congregation, as I hear it.
