I spotted some interesting chairs in the background of the news last night.
I hadn't realised that the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the UN building had recently been restored to finn Juhls original design.
Good Job.

There is a nice little book on the interior, lovely colours and some interesting pseudo Barcelonas too.
That carpet is less than pleasing though.

Agreed, I'm not sure about the carpet, it has a touch of the 1980's about it.

The colors of the carpet are corresponding with the ceiling, the carpet is original.

The ceiling
colours are beautiful and immediately recognisable as Juhl's work.
The carpet colours are much more primary and ..well, garish.

I'd say carrier pigeon, but some quick googling says its the original design, if not the original carpet?

Yes, Virginia, photographs
CAN lie. It's all about film, camera setting, and (particularly) lighting,.
I never saw this room. Did different architects do different parts of the complex ?

I'll have to agree to disagree with everyone on that carpet--I love it.

I just read something about how architects from different countries did the main areas of the UN building, like Russian architects did one of the major meeting rooms.
