So, I bought two sideboards at an antique fair in Vevey, Switzerland. I put them side by side and screwed them to each other, then proceeded to cut holes for the sinks and all the plumbing. Now that I've completely ruined their value, lol, can anybody help ID with the following clues:
1. The "S" logo is inlaid and is on both pieces.
2. The brass keys are distinctive.
3. The subtle serpentine front is distinctive.
4. The cutlery drawers were made in Basel. The two cutlery drawers are labeled and dated 20 Dec. 1956. I'm pretty sure the manufacturer of the piece as a whole subbed out these cutlery drawers because the Aegler family are long-time watchmakers, not furniture manufacturers.
I thought maybe Sibast or Soborg, but the logos don't match. Any ideas?

I like it.
It's nice to see pieces used like this - bought to be used practically with the knowledge that it will exposed to water damage etc. Good for you.
No offence meant, but your plug sockets are very close to your sinks, aren't they?

Ha! Yes,
they are close to the sinks, but this is in the master ensuite and I make all the stupid people who might want to run water while using an electric appliance use another bathroom.

Nice sink, niceguy
I still have two more bathrooms to renovate, so they are a possibility, but only if I can pick the color of the fish.
These two sinks came from a Moroccan stonemason that I found in Marrakesh. The fossilized stone is from the Atlas mountains. It took almost 3 months from the time I bought them in the souk to they time they arrived, but they look good and I have a nice cocktail party story as an added bonus.

Blatant bump.
Nobody recognizes the "S" logo?

hum
doesn't that S look like custom work? As in done by a woodworker with some skill? It's just a bit uneven/not machined, looking.

Well, Krenit,
since I have been a dealer since God was a baby, I would have to say that I don't actually give a rat's patootie. I think they look great and they function perfectly for the bathroom I designed.
