Has anybody ever bought anything from an ebay seller with a zero rating? Should I just steer clear of that? I really like these two bar stools but that zero makes me nervous. Does it usually mean that they are just new to ebay or is it something more sinister like they really screwed up and had to start over or something?

Yup, everyone starts...
Yup, everyone starts somewhere. Not really that big of a risk. I remember when I had a "0" and sellers wouldn't even sell their Dark Shadows TV series videos to be. Suckers - now I'm a "3" - took 5 years - moving on up 🙂

If you want the item and the seller has
an -0- rating, then proceed carefully by emailing the seller in advance of your bid and ask a couple of questions.
I have bid on new sellers on eBay and have usually had good luck, but I ask specifics about condition and method of packing and shipping, since the seller is probably not experienced enough to my assumed satisfaction.
Some new eBay sellers are totally clueless and if i think that, I do not place the bid.
But you have the right to ask specific questions and I suggest you do so.
Hope this helps.

I've bought from "0's" with no resulting problems,
Even if it turns out that you're unhappy with the transaction, Paypal protects you-- whether the item isn't shipped, or shipped not-as-described. (Never pay by money order!)
Also, a good way to "test" a seller is to ask a question before bidding-- helpful in determining whether a seller is responsive, helpful, sane.

Also-if you click on the 0,it will tell you when they joined Ebay
FYI-It's a good way to tell.If they're new,it's more reassuring than seeing member since 2004.Makes you think,"Why are they suddenly selling now"??
