I have a 5 piece set of Togo furniture (3 seater, 2 seater, corner unit,and 2 ottomans) I am puzzled because the label is different than other Togo sets that I have seen. Instead of stating that it was produced by Ligne Roset it has "Airborne/Arconas of Ontario Canada," paper label it addition to the bottom fabric panel which incorporates the Airborne Arconas logo woven into the decking material, it also states "Manufactured in Canada under license of Roset of France" Not "Ligne Roset of France" and my question is this worth as much as one produced with a actual Ligne Roset label? I am thinking that Ligne Roset of France contracted Arconas to produce the togo set in the late 70's early 80's because of logistics of shipping from France. My question is "What is the connection between Ligne Roset of France and Airborne/Arconas of Ontario Canada? Is there any difference in quality or pricing structure?

I just received this personal email from a friend and thought I would pass it on.
Arconas was the licensed North American manufacturer of Ligne Roset for a VERY brief period in the 80's; sort of like Vitra for Herman Miller for Europe, and Arconas is basically a Contract Furniture manufacturer. The challenge was that the manufacturing proved expensive, and quality was hard to maintain. The TOGO is hand-sewn, requiring years of acquired skill, and the lead-time is somewhere between 14-20 weeks As far as value, it is hard to tell. So few pieces come to market, but given that it is a licensed piece, it should be the same, maybe even more given the rarity.
