I'll be looking at a recent production Time Life stool A (about 8 yrs old) tomorrow. No photos from seller...
Can someone with one in that time frame be so kind to post a photo or two, especially the top area? From reading previous posts I understand the top lip is more pronounced than on older ones, but is the lip more/ less/ same pronounced than on very new ones?
Any other tips to help distinguish authenticity would be so appreciated...

Greetings Solange!
I don't recall which model is a,b,or c. But I'd be happy to take as many snappies of my 12 year old stools.
Best,
Aunt Mark
ps photobucket is acting strange today.

Hi
From what I have seen, the newer production stools have a somewhat textured finish while vintage are very smooth.
The shape of the stool and construction quality is the easiest way to verify authenticity. I have not seen any knock-offs that actually look very close.

Thank you Mark,
that's very sweet of you.
Style A is the stool in the middle of your lovely set.
The angle of that photo is very helpful...a snap of the top at a bit of an angle would certain help me to ascertain how wide that darn lip edge is...

I'm a terrible photographer...sorry.
The Time Life stools are my favorite of all Eames pieces. They are so practical. I use mine as a coffee table(s) in the den...and also for additional seating. I'm not sure that this snappy will help.
Best,
Old Aunt Mark

Brilliant Mark! That's very helpful...
Thank you too Woodywood.
The price is reasonable, of course for that reason I have concerns it will not be authentic, but true Woody, I have looked through many photos and have yet to come across a really good copy...
