I was driving to work this morning along my usual route which takes me through a 1950's developed neighborhood of modern homes. As I turned a corner, this cute little, orange chair in mint condition was just sitting all alone on the curb, waiting for the trash man to come by and toss into a garbage truck. I couldn't let it happen! So I stopped and picked it up, brought it home, the fabric alone is beautiful. Amazingly it still has the production sticker stapled on the bottom, manufactured by Vicline Furniture of Victoriaville, Quebec. Anyone care to guess at a value?

The more I look at it the more I like it. It might be akin to some generic 50's designs we've all seen, but at the same time it seems to have really nicely executed proportions. Whereas many chairs with this plainness have an unfortunate clunkiness and a weird visual weight. This one is quite nice. How good is the construction?

With the exception of ... I might not have made the seat as thick, and would have perhaps made it almost as thin as the back. Visually, one flowing piece with a curve. But it would have not been as comfortable I would imagine. Nice chair.

Construction
It's actually quite solid, the springs need to be replaced but it's still very comfortable. Believe it or not, it's a swivel and recliner
