I have about a week or so to come up with a color scheme for my mcm home. I have a contractor lined up to paint and redo all the stucco with a smooth finish. The reason it might be urgent is that DWR is coming this Sat to look at the house and see if they want to do a photoshoot here in dec. I doubt they will choose my house as it is unfinished, but it would be really cool if they did!
The house has 5 main ext. textures - red rock, wood slats, pop out block, flat block and circle cut out block. I am thinking about doing stucco and paint in dunn edwards fossil - almost white - like a light grey white, but looks white. This is what I have on the int. of the house. I dont know if it is too much white. I also looked at incorporating two shades of grey with jet for the posts. I am worried about how the white will look on the wood slats. I dont want it to look like seaside traditional whitewashed wood.
Anyway, I really value your opinions, so any help is appreciated. There's a link below with more pics.

I am unsure about the stucco...
I am unsure about the stucco thing but white is safe.Unless you mean stucco in perfect smooth finish but I see stucco as that very rough semi circle trowel on pattern from the 70s.Needs to be darker shade of white than inside due to light.
I like the slight contrast between the roof and porthole blocks in the 1st image so maybe that difference should be maintained. The portholes should be white though.
The slatted wall only which seems to be the core of the house in some areas may look good in a dark midnight type blue.Maybe bridge paint which has iron oxide for that subtle sparkle through it when viewed up close although colours are limited. From outside it would seem the house had a white skeletal frame.
In the end I would seek pro help or google similar houses for an overall colour effect you like as colour and effect can be very tricky.

Thank you starline
So do you think white is okay? It will be smooth stucco. Currently it is a sand finish.
I have sought both an architect and int. decorator opinion. Architect suggests greys and white patio ceiling. For second plan, he had put some light pink (strawberry blond) in for the wood, as I thought that was what I wanted, but since changed my mind.
The int. decorator thinks all white, white with charcoal soffit overhangs, or white with winter mint as a pop out on the block some where. I tried it (you can see it in the pics, but it looks too green to me).
Thank you for posting the pics!

I vote for trying to...
I vote for trying to determine original colors and attempting a faithful recreation. A little scraping may yield the desired results. Stay away from pink..... Either way though, I LOVE the house!!!!

I actually like charcoal,a near black purple or aubergine so maybe that on the wood panelling, everything else white.Maybe one section of wood wall you see through the blocks in a bright colour for interest.
Not sure if stucco is worth the money when you can just paint for a different look if ever you want a change.

I've seen some absolutely gorgeous glass smooth unpainted stucco. Never have I seen raw concrete look so good. I'd spring for "beautiful" in fact.
It can also be done with white portland cement, which allows it to be white or tinted with any concrete colorant you can find.

All white
except the natural stone on the back of the house. Beautiful home, rockybird!
My reasoning is, why compete with that stunning mountain scenery? Just be a stark, white focal point against that backdrop.

my two cents
take some of the surrounding soil to the paint store and match that, then grey it down a little. Keep the roof and partitions off white.

Certainly.
Maybe white "bridge paint" so it has the slightest sparkle -- like a couple of caws I thought I saw on the streets there, once, Escalades they were, or perhaps Excalibers ?
Stone, indeed -- but to do Her right you need some gold-anodized accents, don't you ?
Maybe a new mailbox, and a flagpole . . .

I agree with many above who said
Keep it simple and don't try to compete with nature.
With surfaces that get a lot of sun, a white or light color will last longer, and stay cooler too.

Thank you!
You guys are awesome! I guess I will stick with the white then. Thanks for the compliments on the home. And thanks for the education on Edward Durell. I enjoyed looking at his architecture!
I dont think I am daring enough to try the bare stucco. It is so expensive as is to re-stucco the house. 🙁
I'll post pics when it is done.
