Ice Cap Growing?
Two scientists say so? Who are they working for? The RNC. I gotta side with hudsonhonu on this one. Went to Alaska 25 years ago, good sized glaciers. Went 4 years ago and compared my own photos from the 2 periods. Great retreat on the ice in the recent pictures.
Look at pictures of Patagonia from 40 years ago and today, massive difference. Snows of Kilimanjaro? in five years there will be no Snows of Kilimanjaro. An ever expanding percentage of Chinas billion plus people come on line each year with Western levels of resource consumption and the concurrent level of toxic output.
It's hard to believe for sure that man could have an impact on a planet as vast as earth, but we can take out 6 acres of trees a minute in the Amazon through mechanized methods. Trees process CO2 and return oxygen to the environment. Ice caps reflect sunlight and heat off the planet, dark open sea water absorbs energy from the sun, heating the water, melting more ice, making more dark water and on and on. I need a drink.
