Dear all forum members,
I have been reading this forum for almost a year now, and I am very happy to have finally made an account and now posting my first thread.
I have a question for the numerous experts of this forum. I am about to purchase a small coffee table which I saw advertised on the market section of this website, but as it is quite expensive I would like to know the opinion of some other people. Would it be possible to give it a name (see picture attached)?
Thank you for your help!

I've seen these before and would have said they are a primitive craft from Asia or maybe Africa but I can't find photos of any at the moment to back that up. The DA listing has no background on it.

Hi, thank you for your answer. On the seller webpage it actually says "Origin; scandinavian",
If it is really from Asia or Africa I would not be interested in it...
Other ideas?
Thanks

I was incredulous that someone would list that on here. It is indeed a folk piece from Asia or India. Google wooden cobra stand.

Ah, so they have a name! Thank, Leif. I knew I was simply missing the right search term.

Hi! Thanks a lot for your help... I kind of liked it, but I had the feeling there was something strange with its origin "scandinavian".... I guess 650 Euro is overpriced, or not? In any case I will not purchase it.
Thank you again and looking forward to participate more on this forum.
Cheers

Small ones generally are priced under $20, so yeah...maybe just a wee bit high.

I was actually in contact with a person from the shop, and it was all fine till I asked more information about the scandinavian origin... got no more answers... If they do not modify the add, I would not really trust the shop...
