Hello!
I just joined the site, and this is my first post. I got what I believe was a great deal for a set of 4 chairs, and am dying to know anything about them. Obviously the name of a designer and year of production, etc, would be the most interesting, but I'll take any information you might have!
I tried finding them just by searching combinations of words like teak, aluminum, etc (see the title of this post), and actually managed to find them here : http://huntedhousedc.com/?page_id=129 , with the following description :
"Pair of Swedish Teak Arm Chairs ~ Sold as a pair for $480.
Swedish `60s design often rivals that of their neighbors to the South! This pair of Teak arm chairs with their great lines, contours and slopes are a prime example! Whenever Teak and chrome come together the result is generally quite beautiful!"
Very cool, but doesn't give any specific information, which is why I'm here!
I took pictures from multiple angles to help one of you experts help me identify them. I found no marks on any of them except the "MADE IN SWEDEN" sticker, and the serial number (?) sticker on just one of the four.
Thank you in advance for any information!

Reminds me of Rowland 40/4.

Yes, wow. Almost identical except for the armrests. Was the 40/4 made with armrests ever? I'm not finding a real match doing a Google image search for it. At least not teak.

Another difference is the through bolts in the plywood on the Swedish chair as compared to this fully marked Rowland 40/4

Yes, great catch. I really appreciate everyone's input on this! They are gorgeous chairs no matter what they are, but I love design and knowing the history of something like this. I love my "Lucy phone," but also take weird comfort in knowing it's a Henry Dreyfuss design.
